Our lovely friends at The Cookham Bakehouse bring us freshly baked Sourdough loaves each week on a Friday. These have just three ingredients - flour, salt and water - no added yeasts are used in the proving and as a result the preparation and rising takes longer using naturally occurring yeasts. From first mix to finished loaf takes 24 hours.
As a result of this people who find some breads hard to digest have little or no problem with Sourdough
These are delicious fresh but toasted slices are something else again!What is more, at the 2017 World Bread Awards in London, Cookham Bakehouse picked up second place, in a field of hundreds of other worth competitors.
