Taste Notes
The Glera grapes are chosen for their consistency and flavour ensuring quality from year to year. Traditionally made using the Martinotti Charmat method, where a secondary fermentation happens before bottling, Molmenti Celot use their years of winemaking knowhow and survived the recent pressure for cheaper, bland and mass produced Proseccos, to ensure a very high quality and enjoyable drink. The Molmenti & Celot Prosecco exhibits an elegant mousse with youthful and delicate palate teasing character and an initial appealing fruitiness yet clean and dry finish. An outstanding example of one of the finest Prosecco’s being produced in Italy today and amazing value for money too.
    1. Delish! Review by Helen Dalziel

This is REALLY good stuff - I tried it first at one of the Wine bar evenings at Old Butcher's in Cookham and from being a bit 'Meh' about Prosecco this shot to one of my favourite wines. Good fizz, dry but fruity, clean maybe apple notes. On its own or with nibbles. Yum. (Posted on 12/01/2018)

    2. Excellent Review by T Peacock

I first bought this because of the funky label to take to a friend's, we had it chilled and it is really good! Not the insipid stuff that is pedalled out for a fiver in supermarkets but its got loads of flavour, good bubbles and I image would go really well with light food. Will be getting more! Molmenti & Celot are a specialist Prosecco producer with vineyards in Pordenone in Friuli. This location has a terrain rich in minerals and is sheltered from the cold northerly winds. The richness of the soil originates from the nearby Alps. Over many centuries minerals from the mountains have been transported to this flatter sheltered terrain known as ’Le Grave’. These vineyards are extremely flat with a stony surface that helps moderate the temperature from day to night and ensuring an even ripening. The gentle climate created by the close Adriatic sea also serves to calm the otherwise harsh conditions and creates a microclimate ideal for developing extraordinary and high quality sparkling wine.
